Stories of The American Civil War
Employed by Tri-Valley Local Schools since 1991, I have always prided myself in teaching, coaching, and advising adolescents at my alma mater. A 1986 graduate of Tri-Valley, I regularly partake in reading, writing, traversing throughout the United States (especially to Texas and the battlefields of the American Civil War), cooking, and music, particularly 1980's "pop", alternative, and new wave. Sports are, and always have been, an integral part of my life. Enjoying basketball and baseball, as well as being an avid supporter of the Cincinnati Reds, I enjoy playing competitive volleyball and wallyball on a weekly basis and have served as a high school varsity volleyball coach and official for twelve and fifteen years, respectively. A 1990 graduate of Miami University (Oxford, Ohio), I played intercollegiate volleyball for four years as a setter and defensive specialist (presently referred to as a libero) while earning a bachelor's degree. During 2006, I earned a master's degree in Education from The Ohio State University.
