Welcome Parents and Students:

My name is Rachel Smart-Gargasz and I teach 8th grade Early American History in room 108 on the 8-1 team.

I was born and raised in Canton, Ohio. I attended Canton City and North Canton City Schools growing up. I graduated from The University of Akron in 2002 with a degree in Middle Level Education with a concentration in Language Arts and Social Studies. After graduation I moved to Zanesville, Ohio and began teaching 7th grade English at Tri-Valley Middle School. 

In the past years I have accomplished many things both personally and professionally. In 2006 I earned a Master's Degree in Education. I married my husband Ryan and we are enjoying raising our three children, Christopher, Lucca and Georgia, in Hanover, Ohio where we currently live.
