***If you are trying to locate the 9th grade honors summer assignment, it is located in the Honors Classroom.
My name is Kendra Roberts and I will be your child’s 9th grade Language Arts teacher. I am a Tri-Valley alumni. I graduated from Ohio University with my Bachelors Degree in Child Development and Language Arts. I continued with my education and obtained my Masters Degree in Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene University. I am looking forward to a wonderful and successful year with your child.
The 9th grade year is an exciting time for your child. In class, we will work together to develop and improve our reading, writing, grammar, and critical thinking skills. I believe that if they want to succeed they will. It is important for your child to be at school everyday, have a positive attitude, turn homework in on time, and to bring all required items to class. I will do what I can to help your child have a successful and productive year.
You will need the following materials for my class:
- 1 binder (at least 1 inch)
- notebook paper
- pencils and pens (one red ink pen)
- dividers for notebook (5)
- 200 index cards for vocabulary
- 3-ring pencil pouch - students will store vocabulary cards in here
Please check Progress Book for updated assignments.
If you are absent from class, it is your responsibility to come and see me to see what you have missed.
