BRIEF BIO
My name is Karen Ross and my husband is Dale Ross. We are proud parents to three handsome sons (Joel, Evan, and Harrison) who graduated from the Tri-Valley Local School system.

After teaching for two years in the Noble Local School District, I came to Tri-Valley to teach fifth grade. Since then I have taught grades three through eight. I hold a certificate to teach grades one through eight and another for teaching talented and gifted students. In my 34th year of teaching, I continue to find joy in what I do!

All fifth graders should be reading AR books independently. Every evening, fifth graders should read at least 15-20 minutes for practice.

Students are required to read five nonfiction books for the fourth quarter.

I created labels with each student's ZPD and they are located in the front of each agenda with the goal set for this quarter. This information will also be found on Progress Book in the comments section for the AR assignment.

We also update on Fridays on the AR Progress Sheets (located in each student's binder) to monitor progress. You can also check Home Connect to view progress.
