Description:
Students are given time in the morning to AR read and take quizzes. Students also work in centers three times a week, and they read to self as well as read with the teacher. Students go to the library throughout the week and they are encouraged to read at least 20 minutes every night.

  • Accelerated Reader Grading Scale
    There are four key items that the students need to meet during each grading period. 
    The four key items are:
    1. The overall quiz average should be 85% or higher.
     2. The student must meet their point goal. 
    3.The students must read within their assigned book range.
    4. Read a nonfiction book and pass the quiz and the nonfiction book.

    This is a list of words that students should know in order to be successful when taking the Ohio Achievement Test in Reading.
